UnitingCare Springwood offers a range of care and accommodation options in one location: independent living units, a hostel and a nursing home. At UnitingCare Ageing, we believe that the needs of the whole person should be met; physical, mental wellbeing, social, emotional and spiritual needs. In all our services, we offer a warm, caring environment where people have a genuine sense of community, independence and security. At UnitingCare Springwood, we understand. We understand how hard it is to leave a loved one in the care of others. We can never take the place of family or friends. But we can provide the nursing skills, resources and environment to make a difference to the lives of those we serve. In the hostel, each resident has a private room where all rooms have ensuites. Care staff are available 24 hours per day for low care assistance, if required. The home-like atmosphere encourages residents to maintain maximum independence. In the hostel and the nursing home, lounge, dining and living areas are located throughout the centre for the enjoyment of residents and their relatives. Nursing home accommodation is for older people requiring assistance with daily living activities, persons with chronic disabilities requiring daily assistance and nursing care and persons with a terminal illness who cannot be cared for in their own homes. Nursing home residents have access to a 24 hour call system with care staff on duty around the clock.

Please note that an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) assessment is required prior to entry into any residential care facility. To find your nearest Aged Care Assessment Team contact Commonwealth CareLink Centre on 1800 052 222 or visit their website. Vacancies are subject to ACAT assessment and availability.
