| The Social Support Service for Multicultural Communities assists older people and people with disability to continue living independently at home by meeting their social needs. A community care worker or volunteer will: • visit individuals in their homes • assist with shopping and related tasks • accompany individuals to medical and other appointments • support individuals to connect or reconnect with other social groups or activities Interpreting Services We will try our best to find a care worker or volunteer who speaks the same language wherever possible. The Social Support Service also has access to both face-to-face and telephone interpreters to help us communicate better with you. To make an initial contact with us, you can call the Health Care Interpreter Service on (02) 9840 3456. This service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. |
