Salamander Bay Aged Care Facility opened in 2002 and has a total of 60 low care beds each with its own ensuite and air conditioning. 20 of these beds are low care dementia specific beds. The dementia specific area has shaded walking paths and gardens. The facility is located in a bushland setting with close proximity to the beach, public transport, local clubs and shops so residents can continue to participate in community living. Residents enjoy trips to the theatre, beach, picnics, dolphin watch cruises and ten pin bowling plus there is a special outing each month just for the mens group. If you prefer to stay in, there are many activities to chose from including in house concerts using the grand piano.
