Koombahla, meaning ‘gum trees’, is UnitingCare Ageing Hunter, Central Coast & New England’s newest facility, opened in November 2007. The facility is situated on Lake Road, Elermore Vale, and offers an extensive range of services and state-of-the-art finishings. The facility offers both high and low residential care for those living in the 108 bed building, whilst also containing an array of activity outlets. These outlets include various courtyards, library with computer access, lounge area with a pool table, barbeque and outdoor settings, fully equipped gymnasium, and lounge areas including a theatre room, all for resident’s use. Koombahla also offers a well appointed hair and beauty salon, specialized menus offering a wide choice of meals, and a function room available for the enjoyment of private functions with residents and their families.
