Assisted Living/Low Care

The hostel is primarily for elderly and disabled persons who are capable of living with a degree of independence.

Eligibility is based on an assessment which is conducted by the Aged Care Assessment Team in your area. When placement is sought we are required to consider holistically the health, financial and social needs of the applicant as well as their current housing and support situation.

All rooms are private and spacious with ensuites provided. The rooms are designed to maximise residents independence whilst ensuring their safety.

Communal dining, sitting and activity rooms are situated throughout the hostel. Outdoor gazebo's or sitting areas are designed to ensure residents safety as much as possible in the sun.

Each room has the necessary fittings for a television and telephone should the resident wish to utilise these services. The rooms are furnished, although residents and families are encouraged to bring items from home to make the room more familiar.

Hostel care may be permanent or respite. Respite care mirrors living in a hostel but is restricted to a maximum annual period of 9 weeks (63 days).
